I am starting my third year as Ph.D. student in Marine Geology and Geophysics at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences.
I'm interested in the records of carbon cycling preserved in carbonate margins and periplatform sediments. This work has many applications including assessing the applicability of carbon isotope stratigraphy in periplatform sediments, understanding perturbations to the global carbon cycle, and reconstructions of ancient pCO2. I work in the Stable Isotope Laboratory here at RSMAS, and my advisor is Professor Peter K. Swart.
